The Best Albums of 2011

При толкова много силни албуми излезли през тази година, избора да определя кои ще са в десетката в моята класация е все пак трудно начинание. В случая е валидно въздействието което ми оказва слушаната от мен музика и ще се опитам да съм достатъчно ясен, въпреки субективния елемент в цялото нещо. Разбира се, тази класация може да не се припокрива с твоите представи и любима музика за годината. Това е моята гледна точка. Музиката която излиза на пазара е необхватна, така че нямам претенции да обхвана всичко.
Преди всичко, това е моята извадка и класация на албумите които съм слушал, за които съм писал, и които съм представил тук, в блога ми (Be There). Това е моето нещо тази година.

Нека 2012 да е още по-музикална. Respect to the artists.

Експериментален, неангажиращ, jazzy, synth албум. Подходящ за лежерно слушане и все пак има мечтателна нотка ("With Each New Day"), дори и blues нишка. Шизофренична бистрота. Която е плюс за албума.



31. Adventure

"Lesser Known"

(Carpark Records)

Synth trip, electro пътешествие. Ретроспективен electro процес, за да се чувстваш лек. Позитивен и насочен навътре албум. А може би и достатъчно лежерен.



30. 18 Carat Affair

"Vintage Romance"

(Moodgadget Records)

Synth-wave, chillwave. Термини, стилове, electro експерименти и vintage disco electro. От всичко това се е получила приятно-еклектична electro музика, която не ангажира с претенции. Но пък последната композиция в този албум "Last Night" е меко казано омагьосваща.

29. Amit

"9 Times"

(Commercial Suicide)

Твърд безкомпромисен dubstep, darkstep албум от индийския (живеещ в Великобритания) electro продуцент Amit. С целия си здрав програминг на ударните не ти остава друго, освен да си държиш пломбите, че това нещо застрашително ги кара да падат. Шегата настрана, "9 Times" е много мрачно и здраво electro и това му е огромния плюс.

Музика за отлитане от реалността. Италианска post-rock, alternative rock приказка.



27. Displacer

"Night Gallery"

(Tympanik Audio)

Нощна галерия от кинематично electro, IDM, ambient от Канада. NUMB, но на IDM основа. Дълбае в съзнанието което пътува надалеч.



26. Art Brut

"Brilliant Tragic!"

(Cooking Vinyl)

Цинични, нахакани, иронични английски garage rock, indie rock агенти със собствено виждане за нещата. Непукизъм и шумни истории за бурни, безпаметни уикенди, лоши комедианти, ментални проблеми, закачки. И да знаеш, те не свирят умен jazz. Не се бъзикай с тях, че хапят. Шегувам се. Те са свежи типове, които правят свежа музика в този си албум.



25. Farewell Continental

"!Hey, Hey Pioneers!"

(Paper + Plastick)

Енергичен indie rock албум с приятен женски вокал. На моменти с pop-punk уклон ("Who's The Boss?"). Като цяло грабващ със своите еуфорични композиции, които могат да бъдат и стадионни химни със заряда на pop хитове.



24. Ding Ke

"Island"

(Modern Sky)

Прекрасен neo classical, piano ambient албум - лиричен, мелодичен, романтичен и леко носталгичен. С композиции като "Maitri", "Because Of You", "Orange" той образува мелодична капсула в този понякога толкова суров свят. "Island" е невероятно искрен и красив пиано pop албум, който има всички шансове, да се хареса и на почитателите на класическа музика.

23. Cloud Control

"Bliss Release" 2 CD (Deluxe Edition)

(Liberation)

Албум предлагащ богата смес от electro, shoegaze, indie rock, dream-pop, и е с експериментална folk rock жилка. Съставки които предразполагат към мечтателност. Всички композиции в него са стойностни. И накрая с четири ремикса направени от Fishing; DJ Animals; Seekae; Spod. Препоръчвам ти "There's Nothing In The Water We Can't Fight" (Spod Remix). Блаженност.



22. Gable

"Cute Horse Cut"

Такава музика няма да чуеш всеки ден по радиото. Със замаха на банда квартални хаймани, те сервират еклектична смес от lo-fi, noise rock, electro и всевъзможни семпли, за да ме вкарат в шарения си свят от систематизиран хаос.

Обратно на лежерния liquid drum 'n' bass, настъпващ отвсякъде, тук има мощен, разбиващ, адреналинов drum 'n' bass. Не само че е приятен, но е и много заразен и влиза бързо в съзнанието и зарежда. Внимавай с дозировката (слушането) защото трудно ще излезеш от трипа. Какво говоря, приятно изживяване е.



20. Sleep ∞ Over

"Forever"

Dream-pop Sade (или на каква музика спят еднорозите), mellow electronic Kate Bush зареяна в безкрая, dream, страст. "Don't Poison Everything" говори само по себе си. Отвори съзнанието си, бъди навсякъде, искай, създавай. Ето такива неща ми говори музиката в "Forever", и всичко е в магична обвивка от блестящи electro сфери, феерични гласове и сънища. It's dream, pop over the material world.



19. The Vaccines

"What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?"

Този албум е шумен, романтичен, но и танцувален в същото време. Garage rock, ама не точно. Блика от енергия, но и притихва когато се налага, в точните моменти.



18. Yelawolf

"Radioactive"

(Ghet-O-Vision / Shady Records / Interscope Records)

Албум с много емоционално pop, hip-hop звучене. Yelawolf разкрива една лирична своя страна. Да, това не е ударен hip-hop албум, нито е абстрактен, дори е леко противоречив на моменти, но все пак има композиции които удрят на емоционално ниво. Половината от тях са типични Yelawolf истории - закачливи, докосващи. Тук той като че ли изпуска парата и е по-mellow. Въпреки че много хора го свързват с по-твърд hip-hop от сорта на неговите неща от "Trunk Muzik 0-60" ("Pop The Trunk"; "Get The Fuck Up"; "Billy Crystal" (Feat. Rock City)). Този албум трябваше да се случи, друг е въпроса дали точно сега.

"Spellbound" 2 CD

(Universal Music)

Албум който е jazzy-меланхолично-ироничен. Темите са за общочовешки терзания, самота, любов. Такива са и повечето имена на песните. Близко е до тъгата на Nick Drake. Албума е двоен и втория диск е с предимно инструментални, акустични пиеси. "The Chain" е изтъкана от изключително приятен романтичен текст:

"I would like to take a walk with you.
But I'm scared it's gonna rain.
Just a picnic in the park for two.
But the gardener will complain."

"I've been follow by the worst of luck.
Maybe you can break this chain.
Come with me, come with me.
Darling can't you see.
I'm in love."

Трябва да има такива албуми. Дори и само заради такива композиции. С такъв албум е хубаво понякога да си тъжен.



16. BT

"These Humble Machine"

(Nettwerk Records)

Uplift, electro. Uplift, pop rock. Uplift trance. Uplift. Емоционален. Само по себе си това може да е достатъчно, но не, този албум е композиран перфектно. И е един от най-добрите trance албум излизали през последните 5-6 години.
Съвкупност от звезди, Космос, вселени - точно така, усещане за безбрежност. Безкрайна electro приказка, която е все по-вълнуваща с всяко следващо слушане. А BT (Brian Transeau) е голям electro магьосник.

The Best Albums of 2011 (English)

In the presence of many strong albums released this year, choosing to determine which will be in the top ten in my ranking is after all hard work. In the case is valid influence that take effect listened of me music and I'll try to have enough clear, despite the subjective element in the whole thing. Of course, this list may not overlap with your view and favorite music for the year. This is my point of view. The music that comes out of the marketplace is immense, so I do not claim to cover everything.
Above all, this is my excerpt and chart of the albums I've heard, which I wrote, and I've presented here, in my blog (Be There). This is my thing this year.

Experimental, leisure, jazzy, synth album. Suitable for mellow listening and however still has dreamy flavor ("With Each New Day"), even blues clue. Schizophrenic limpidity. Which is a plus for the album.

Synth trip, electro voyage. Retrospective electro process, that to feel easy. Positive and directed inward album. And maybe enough leisure.

Hard straight-out dubstep, darkstep album from Indian (UK based) electro producer Amit. With all his strong programming of drums do not you have left other, than to keep your dental fillings, that this thing frightening makes them to fall. All kidding aside, "9 Times" is very dark and hard electro and this is his huge plus.

Cynical, smart, ironic English garage rock, indie rock agents with their own vision. Unconventionalism and noisy stories of phrenetic, amnesia weekends, bad comedians, mental problems, jokes. And to know, they don't play smart jazz. Do not laugh at them, that bite. Just kidding. They are fresh dudes, which make fresh music in this album.

Energetic indie rock album with nice female vocals. At times with pop-punk trend ("Who's The Boss?"). Overall catchy with its euphoric compositions, which can also be stadium anthems with charge of pop hits.



24. Ding Ke

"Island"

Magnificent neo classical, piano ambient album - lyrical, melodic, romantic and slightly nostalgic. With songs like "Maitri", "Because Of You", "Orange" it forms a melodic capsule in this sometimes harsh world. "Island" is an incredibly sincere and beautiful piano pop album, that has all chances, to be like and of the fans of classical music.

23. Cloud Control

Album offers a rich mixture of electro, shoegaze, indie rock, dream-pop, and it is with experimental folk rock streak. Ingredients that predispose to dreaminess. All compositions in it are valuable. And finally, with three remixes made by Fishing; DJ Animals; Seekae; Spod. I recommend you "There's Nothing In The Water We Can't Fight" (Spod Remix). Beatitude.



22. Gable

Opposite to the mellow liquid drum 'n' bass, coming from everywhere, here have powerful, smashing, adrenaline drum 'n' bass. Not only is it pleasant, but it is very infectious and enter quickly to mind and charge you. Be careful with the dosage (listening) because you hardly out of the trip. What I speak, that is enjoyable experience.



20. Sleep ∞ Over

"Forever"

Dream-pop Sade (or of what music sleep the unicorns), mellow electronic Kate Bush sail at infinity, dream, passion. "Don't Poison Everything" speaks for itself. Open your mind, be everywhere, wants, create. That things tells me music in "Forever", and everything is in magical shell of glowing electro orbs, enchanting voices and dreams. It's dream, pop over the material world.

This album is loud, romantic, but danceable at the same time. Garage rock, but not exactly. Vibrant, but calm down when necessary, at the right time.



18. Yelawolf

"Radioactive"

(Ghet-O-Vision / Shady Records / Interscope Records)

Album with very emotional pop, hip-hop sound. Yelawolf reveals his own lyrical side. Yes, this is not a striking hip-hop album, nor is abstract, even slightly controversial at times, but there are songs that strike an emotional level. Half of them are typical Yelawolf stories - larky, touching. Here he seemed to let off steam and is more-mellow. Although many people associate him with a hard hip-hop sort of things like from his "Trunk Muzik 0-60" ("Pop The Trunk"; "Get The Fuck Up"; "Billy Crystal" (Feat. Rock City)). This album had to happen, another is the question whether right now.

Album which is jazzy-melancholic-ironic. The themes are universal anguish, loneliness, love. So are most of the names of the songs. It is close to the sadness of Nick Drake. This is double album and the second disc is mostly with instrumental, acoustic pieces. "The Chain" is made up of very nice romantic text:

Uplift, electro. Uplift, pop rock. Uplift trance. Uplift. Emotional. In itself this may be enough, but no, this album is perfectly composed. And it is one of the best trance album released in the last 5-6 years.
Aggregation of stars, Cosmos, universes - exactly, sense of vastness. Endless electro story, that is more exciting with each listen. And BT (Brian Transeau) is a great electro wizard.

1. Atari Teenage Riot - "Is This Hyperreal?" (Digital Hardcore Recordings) (Dim Mak Records) (2011)

There have: After 11-year silence, digital electro, noise, cyber punk "hooligans" Atari Teenage Riot is finally here. 10 pieces of noisy-cultural-musical revolution. Several bright guest appearances by Steve Aoki; CX Kidtronik (participate in the Nine Inch Nails).
"Activate!" (Feat. CX Kidtronik) is a typical Atari Teenage Riot opener. Gabba-hardcore-digital-political-punk-revolution.
This version of the album was released by the label Dim Mak Records, created and driven by Steve Aoki. With him, they plant a new energetic cyber, electro, noise strike to the chin of the music industry. You remember a time, when they make revolution and scandals with his first noisy audio strikes - "1995" (1995) and "The Future Of War" (1997) - released in the emblematic label of Alec Empire - Digital Hardcore Recordings.

Playlist for a last couple of weeks - Part 2 (English)

This is my playlist for the last few weeks. Here things are not arranged in numbers and importance, all the songs have their place in my mind. Have touched me, are interesting and deserve more than one listening. This is not a ranking. See and also might like something. Here are the songs:


Digits - "Warrant For Your Love" (Feat. Rebecca Applebaum) - Future disco, EBM, Depeche Mode on tranquilizers, but rhythmic, and voice of Rebecca which is not such, well, close to Kate Bush with a melancholic timbre. Chart buster, heh-heh.





Digits - "Nonstop" - This track closing the album "Hold It Close" from 2009. Slow, slow new wave, electro beauty at the beginning and "jumping" in the middle with a playful rhythm. But the voice of Alt Altman is slooow, electroclashy and hypnotic as a color sundae complete with neon lights. Slooow, blurry, slooow, but very good performance.

Обаче гласа на Alt Altman е бааавен, electroclashy и хипнотичен като цветна мелба пълна с неонови светлини. Бааавно, размазано, бааавно, но много добро изпълнение.
